Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Targeted For Monetary Gain and Anger Gratification

A co-worker recently lost a bid for reclassification. A series of incidents were intiated by the co-worker, including an inflamitory letter to the superintendant, personell, and my departmental staff which led to me being moved to a seperate site. When I was returned, she then trumped more allegations and had her boyfriend threaten me with physical injury. A police report was filed. Again I was moved to another site. She filed a Workers'Comp./Psych claim. She lost. She now informs the school system she is filing sexual harassment charge against the county and I. This has caused me severe emotional distress, family and financial hardships. Where can I go with this?????

Re: Targeted For Monetary Gain and Anger Gratification

-Practically, there is not much you can you can do to the employee legally. For example, she might not have the resources to warrant pursuing a defamation or other tort claim against her. If she filed a lawsuit against you, then you should seek indemnification from your employer under Labor Code sec. 2802.
