Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Wife was shown degrading porn.

My wife works for a national, public Co. and was shown graphic degrading porn by the top VP of the company. This is after being called a bitch by him in a ''joking'' manner a month earlier. She is freaked out, cant go back to work even thought they are threating her? There is a history of escalating harras. from this guy and they did nothing after she reported it to HR and he admittied to it. The story is bigger than this obviously...

Re: Wife was shown degrading porn.

Hello. I am sorry about your wife's experience.

It is likely that she has legitimate and strong claims for sexual harassment and gender harassment, but more facts about her employment and the harassment are needed to determine this. Feel free to follow up to discuss this.

Thanks,

Re: Wife was shown degrading porn.

As you may know, sexual harassment in employment violates the provisions of the Fair Employment and Housing Act, specifically Government Code sections 12940(a), (j), and (k).This includes unwanted sexual advances or visual, verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. The conduct you describe is egregious and definitely presents a compelling reason to pursue a claim for sexual harassment. I would be happy to advise you further, feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Yours truly,

In some situations like I have worked with, conditions can become so bad that it amounts to a constructive termination in addition to sexual harassment. If you want to send me an email I might make a couple of additional points.

Best,
