rec'd info from ssd stating they want to stop my payments because i have been working aa p/t job for 3 yrs. i want to appeal, should i quit my job

Hello!

First, if you have been receiving Social Security Disability benefits, the underlying criteria are that:

1. Your disability precludes you from having either meaningful

2. or gainful employment.

THAT MEANS YOU CANNOT WORK! There are exceptions that are "attempt to work" in essence, but that is a part time endeavor, i.e., not a three year attempt to go back to work. If you are receiving SSI (Supplementary Security Income, or federal welfare) any earnings you receive are deducted from the SS benefits. Earnings on SSD are likewise deducted from your benefits.

An appeal is probably not going to be fruitful. Engage an expert in the field to protect you from claims against you for SS fraud. You need someone who can help you defeat a reimbursement claim!!!

Any attorney who would help you would probably require an hourly rate fee agreement and an initial retainer sum to be paid.
