Legal Question in Social Security Law in California

Social security reducing check

Who's responsbity is it to submit copies of my paystubs to Social secuirty I asked my employer he told me that social security recivees my paystubs and automatically deducts my check and I do not need to do anything. Can they dedcut from check automatcially or I have to send them my copies for them to figure out the amount of my check each month?

Hello!

Since YOU are the person receiving the SS benefits, it is YOU that is obligated to report earnings. Your employer does NOT notify SS, your employer will file a 1/4ly report of withholdings in an employers return. Ultimately, SS will get the info, but at that time when they act, you will be in the unfortunate place of owing monies in reimbursement to SS. Uncomfortable!
