Legal Question in Social Security Law in California

Can I sue the government?

I aplied for soc sec disability in 1994. After all these years they finally approved me with retro back pay.

During this time I had no income and lost everything.

My health has suffered due to no money and no medical insurance.

I slid thru all the cracks when it came to General Relief and Medi-Cal.

I used to be a Registered Nurse and worked in E.R. and I.C.U.

Is there anything I can do so this kind of thing won't happen to any other person?

Can I sue the government for withholding medical care and money they now say I deserve?

Thank you

K-

Unfortunately, your question is a frequently asked question which is sad, since it indicates how many other people have been in your same boat.

You can not sue the government because they took so long in approving your claim. Even if you could, they would just say that you failed to satisfy your burden of proving your disability until they finally approved you. Sorry, I wish I could give you a better answer!
