Legal Question in Tax Law in California

Business - taxation

I intend incorporating a company for doing business on the Internet, a simple ecommerce site. I currently live in California, so my Business would be functioning from California.

My question is from the taxation percpective am I better of incorporating in Nevada and running the Business from California or just incorporate in the state I would be running the business i.e. California.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Business - taxation

You will need to pay California taxes for any operation in California, no matter where you are incorporated.

Re: Business - taxation

There would be little if any tax advantage for a small to medium size company of incorporating in Nevada. There are some small other advantages but it increased the incorporation cost by 20 to 50%.
