You're question about itemized deductions as a Indian national requires special tax rules. Consult a local tax attorney who can ask you questions. But don't hesitate to submit a paid answer; while the standard deduction is easy each search requires checking very expensive legal databases to confirm.
Ask with more details like which deductions you want to take and whether you're married, single, have kids here, etc. and then I could give legal advice.
