Legal Question in Tax Law in California
I live in California. Are alimony payments received, deductible on Federal Taxes?
If the answer is no, under which circumstances would this rule be different?
Thank you

The payer of the alimony can deduct it from their AGI if it qualifies under the law. But not the person receiving it, it is income.
