Notice of Contest of Lein

How do I contest a Notice of Lein that has been placed? How do I contest a Notice of Lein after notification but before it is filed?

Re: Notice of Contest of Lein

Fighting an IRS lien can be done by appealing the prroposed notice within the IRS. The appeals process requires filing a request with detailed reasons for the objection. Collection activity is then stayed (stopped) while the Appeals Division of the IRS reviews the matte. Sometimes the review is simply based upon the documents, but frequently it involves a meeting and negotiation with the IRS.
