Legal Question in Tax Law in California
how do i get a paid tax lien removed from public record. The state of california filed the same lein in several counties I never lived in
lien was 3/2001 paid in 6/2006

I assume you tried to get the state to do it allready with no luck. You can send a demand that the liens be released. On a legal letterhead they might even do it.
Otherwise, you must bring an action to quiet title. If you bring it in county, the state will wise up and upon receipt will release the liens.
