Legal Question in Tax Law in California

Hello. I received a Subpeona from the U.S. Department of Justice that requires me to appear before the Grand Jury for the District of Oregon in Portland to testify. The Subpoena was given to me by a IRS special agent today May 1st, 2013, one week before the Court Date which is May 8th, 2013. However, I live in California. I do not want to go, nor do I have the funds in order to pay for travel expenses. Plus this is way too short of notice. Is there a way out of this? What are some options that I have?
