Legal Question in Tax Law in California
Hi i was on your site yesterday 08/26/09 my question was
i'm having a little problem with the irs i owe 16k dollars
is it best if i can negotiate the dollar amount and settle with them or should i hire a firm that can negotiate better than me
and are these firms are as good as they say they are

Hard to say, but generally, some of those firms can help significantly if you're not the type of person who can negotiate very well over the phone, or is too intimidated to negotiate effectively. Like in any thing, some firms are better than others. You should ask around for recommendations and then ask for referrals.
