Legal Question in Tax Law in California

taxation

I read Bill benson's book in which he states that, ''he traveled to the capitols of 48 states & discovered that not even on state had properly ratified the 16th Amendent.'' He claims to have secured 17,000 certifed documents that proved the 16 Amendment was not lawfully rattified.

Are there or are there not 17,000 certified documents that prove that the 16th Amendment was not lawfully ratified?

Is it true that the general term''income'' is not defined in the IRS code?

Is it true that the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court (47 Atlantic 2nd 280) gave this opinion, ''reasonable compensation for labor or services rendered is not profit?

Is it true that Chief Justice White stated that, ''We are of the opinion that confusion arises from the conclusion that the 16th Amendment provides for a hitherto unknown power to taxation; that is an erroneous assupmtion...by previous ruling it was settled that the provisions of the 16th Amendment conferred no new power of taxation.'' ?

Re: taxation

You're buying a load of wishful thinking. None of these tax-protester arguments are going to do a thing for you, and if you follow the advice of the charlatans who advance them, you will ultimately pay a lot more than you would if you just pay your taxes. If you want to review a systematic discussion of the arguments that you cite, check out Prof. Jim Maule's Web site (he teaches tax law at Villanova Law School):
