Legal Question in Telecomm Law in California
In California, I understand it is illegal to record a phone conversation without the other party's knowledge. If the other party - my bank, for example - informs me that the call is or may be being recorded - do I have to inform them that I am recording the conversation, since they've already established that it may be being recorded?
Thanks in advance

I think you are OK. Just for giggles, repeat back what the rep says: "This call may be monitored or recorded." "This call may be monitored or recorded."
