Legal Question in Telecomm Law in California

recording telephone conversations

If a business records a telephone conversation (to which I gave implied consent at the time), are they required to provide me with a transcript of the recorded conversation upon request, so that I can check the accuracy of what was said?

Re: recording telephone conversations

It's their record, not yours.

If you were involved in a lawsuit with the business, you could probably subpoena the recording during the discovery process.

Also, some businesses, depending on specific industry regulations, may be required to make your file available to you... So... if the recording is part of your file, you'd be able to obtain it.
