97 toyota tercel

my car was parked...this guy reversed back and hit my car. i went to get an estimate, and the estimate was 4,000. this was 2 weeks ago, and they only want to give me 1,500 because my car isn't even worth the 4,000 they sid...what can i do?

The driver of the other car is responsible for your monetary loss. That is either the cost of repair or the fair market value of the damaged property. To get more than the $1,500 you will have to convince the insurer of the other driver that your car was worth more than that amount.
