Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
my 18 year daughter got stopped by a san jose motorcycle officer in a residentual neighborhood 1 mile from home and lectured about her rolling stop. she was given a ticket for excessive speed vc 22350. speed limit 0 speed 3mph. court tomarrow. we are confused because vc 22350 is drive a vechile upon a HIGHWAY at a speed that is reasonable etc. what do you think, contest or traffic school?

It is probably not the most correct section to be cited for in this circumstance, but technically, the "safe" speed at a stop sign is zero.
If she is eligible for traffic school, that is probably her best bet to avoid the point on her record.
