Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
accident while backing
Yesterday, I was backing off my parking spot, very slow and before I realized, I had gently bumped into a car that was passing by. We got down, looked at each others cars, there was no damage, we both said sorry and went our way. We did not exchange any information or call police. Now, today, the other person left a note on my car asking me to call her? I am concerned and unsure what to do. We park in the same lot at work, so I guess she knew where to find my car. Am I liable?

Re: accident while backing
Call her and ask what she wants. If she wants your insurance information give it to her. This is the simplest and fastest way to take care of this situation.
