Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Accident-Whose fault
My mother wa involved in an accident and the police did not take a statement from her at the time. The other person gave her statement and the police wrote the report as if it was my mother's fault. When we contacted them again they moved the accident to another location to again make her seem guilty. Who can we contact to get them to write a proper report with both statements?

Re: Accident-Whose fault
Thank you for your inquiry. Although you have the right to contact a supervisor in the police department, or file a supplemental statement yourself, or obtain witness statements from independent witnesses that contradict whatever is in the police report. Best of luck.
