On average how much is the fine for crossing a yellow double solid line?
A friend of mine cost $1037. Is that right? Thanks

Usually, the fine is about $ 300.00 for double solid line violation. Your friend must have had a "failure to appear" and additionally a "civil assessment" fine added, which could have explained the much higher than usual fine.
