Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
bail amount
Isn't there a bail amount set for traffic infractions (driving on suspended) that is uniformly set for the entire state (CA). I was recently arrested for Failure To Appear's re. driving on suspended license in separate counties. One county sets bail at $1,500, The other at $15,000. A difference x10 with same identical charge (14601.1 a) listed. Is this possible? It cost me $1,650 as I posted.
