Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
California Window Tinting
I purchased a new vehicle 6 months ago. The dealership had 4 side windows and the rear window tinted. The California Highway Patrol issued a citation to me for improperly tinted (too dark)windows.
Who is ultimately responsible for the fine issued, the dealership (for selling a vehicle with illegally tint on the windows-too dark) or me (the registered owner/operator of the vehicle) ?
Thank you.

Re: California Window Tinting
You must pay the fine but i would then go to small claims court and ask for the amount of the fine, the amount they charged you for the tint and the cost to remove it.
