Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
car accident
My minor daughter had a small fender bender in the school parking lot. The other girl asked her for her phone# and sped off. Two weeks later her father called and wants me to pay for damage. Neither girl called police, exchanged insurance information, or interviewed witnesses. No fault has at this point been established. The father wants me to meet with him to look at their car. What does the law say in Caliornia?

Re: car accident
The determination of fault is based on what the parties were doing at the time of the accident. You have not provided any of that information. Report the incident to your insurance company and let them deal with this guy. The other driver may have committed a misdemeanor hit and run when she left withour providing her information, including insurance co.
