Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
My car was impounded and the police wont release it after being harrassed and threatened and treated like a criminal they wont release my truck what can I do

The first question is whether the vehicle is actually being held by the police for evidence or by the tow company for payment of tow fees. Once you do that you call and if they won't give you back the car after you pay tow fees you ask to speak to a supervisor and move up the line. Then your only response is to sue. But you got to work fast because the tow fees are increasing daily.There is a procedure to challenge the tow fees but it generally requires that you pay the fee, go to a hearing, and ask for the money back.
