Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Car Rental Liability Insurance
I was involved in an accident with a car while on my bicycle. The driver was 100% at fault, driving a Hertz rental car and from out of state. The driver opted not to take Hertz's liability insurance and used her own instead. I'm in the process of trying to obtain the name of her insurance provider since it's not listed in the police report. My question is this: Can I submit my demand letter for damages directly to Hertz instead of going to the driver's insurance provider even though the driver opted not to utilize Hertz's liability coverage?
Thanks in advance

Re: Car Rental Liability Insurance
If you don't even know how to submit a demand letter, what are you thinking? Step back and take an honest look at your skill set. Unless you're only seeking property damage or a new bike, you're not just going to get the full settlement value of your case without your using a lawyer. A competent lawyer will have absolutely no problem finding the right people to sue.`
