Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

help to take care of fix-it ticket that never got taken care of from 2 yrs. ago.

My son worked delivering pizzas. In So. Lake Tahoe 2 yrs. ago he got written up during work hr. for a fix it ticket on his auto. Back rear light out. He never took care of this and now he finds out he might have a warrant out for his arrest. He had moved a couple of time in the last couple of years and some of his mail didn't reach him. He nows lives with my husband and I in No. CA and we want to help him get this straightened out. Where do I start? Will the fine be enormous and will they allow payments to be made even though it has been so long? Thank you.

They're basically two ways to handle it. You could hire local attorney in the area of the court where the case is located and he or she could handle it. The other option, is to write to the court as apparent and ask what the fine would be and what payment terms for court might except.
