Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

I got a citation for going 79 on a 45 but the officer whrote

CUC22350 speed (I)

Speed aprox 45

PF/max.spd 79

Veh.Lmt.79

Radar: 45

I got a letter saying mandatory appearance.

Can I fight this ticket ?

And if so what should I say ?

I have allso a informal probation.

What they write on the citation only matters if that's the only thing filed with the court. You're looking at a basic speeding citation (with a fairly large speed over the limit), but the letter gives me some concern. You don't say who the letter was from and what else it says on it. They (the DA) may have upgraded the situation and decided to file reckless driving against you.

Infractions cannot violate your probation, but a misdemeanor will. I'd suggest sitting down with a local criminal defense attorney to review all the documents and advise you from there.
