Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Community Service

last year I was given a traffic ticket for driving with a suspended license in the state of California. As a result I was given the option of doing community service or 10 days in jail. I chose to do community service. They assigned my cs an hour across town, and it became next to impossible for me to make it everyday since I work as well, & have to take public transit everywhere. I now have to move out of state for a job, and I don't want to leave my community service unresolved. What are my options in resolving this matter before leaving? Can I transfer my community service out of state? Or will I have to serve jail time? Is it possible to just pay the fine?

Re: Community Service

Contact the attorney who represented you for the original charges. The attorney can ask the court to modify the terms of probation to allow you to move out of the state.
