Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Co-owner liability for car
I just bought a new car and would like to put my boyfriend down as co-owner so I can get a city parking permit to park in front of his house without being ticketed. Am I exposing him to additional liability if I were involved in an accident of some kind? I have full coverage insurance in my own name with 100/300/100 coverage.

Re: Co-owner liability for car
We get lots of questions like, "I put my ex-boyfriend down as co-owner and now he has disappeared with the car." Maybe instead you could arrange to get some mail in your name, for example a cell phone or other utility bill, at the house and apply for your own parking permit.
