I doubt that a note from a parent would satisfy the court. If so, parental notes might excuse speeding (to get home for supper in time) and many other events. I do not know what the fine is, but this could be checked at the local court house or possibly, now, on line. It can vary by judge in the range within which the judge can fine an offender. Usually a ticket under a provisional license calls for the surrender of the provisional license, but that might vary also depending on whether the ticket would be for a moving violation. She should accept this as a lesson of life. Rules are there to be followed. A teen driving around with a full car after curfew is like waving a red flag at any police officer!
