Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
DMVrightsstripper
In re-applying for an expiring CDL,in the health/medical section, I admitted to an exsisting diabetic condition. I soon received via mail a requested ''phone interview'' to be conducted at a future (approx. 3 wks.) date and time with an employee of the CA DMV. I was 15 min late to call failing to keep requested interview. 3 days later I received notice re. the immediate suspension of my CDL and ordered to return mail my CDL to CA DMV of which I complied. I drove a co. vehicle for a const. co. Within 2 wks. I was un-employed and stripped of what I thought were rights...earn a living, pursue happiness, travel roads and highways etc.,etc. That was 4 yrs.ago resulting in 1 conviction,8-9 citations for driving on susp.,4 vehicle impounds,3 handcuffs/arrests trips to jail, court fines unable to pay cumatively leading to my question....How did these un-elected employees of CA aquire so much Power? No Judge in any court can re-issue my CDL. Each appearance in court I plead guilty, guilty, guilty to crimes w/o the possibility of innocense. My life has been altered drastically by this dmv rightsstripper. How is this legally allowed? GUPI

Re: DMVrightsstripper
The state legislature gave the DMV the power to revoke driver's license under certain circumstances. Diabetes is a condition which if not properly monitored can result in the individual passing out. Should this occur during driving a serious accident can occur.
Your proper course of action would have been to recontact the DMV and appeal the loss of your license. You should immediately contact the DMV and ask what you need to do to obtain a license. Had you retained an attorney when your license was first revoked and regained it, you would have save at least enough to pay the attorney fee. Therefore you should immediately take action to regain your driver's license. If that is not possible then make the necessary adjustments in you life styly and vocation to accomodate the fact that you cannot drive.
