Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
double yellow line
On a two lane highway divided by a double yellow line a tow truck was parked taking up half of my lane . I proceeded to go around the stopped vehicle when a police man waved me down and issued me a ticket for crossing a double yellow line.
Did I really violate the law and if so how many hours do I have to stop behind a stalled/stopped vehicle or any obstacle blocking the lane on a two lane highway before I am allowed to move around the obstacle?
