driving without a license

got a ticket for driving without a license. officer came when i was sitting in the drivers seat. asked me what happened. i answered, but he assumed i meant i was driving. i was in shock, but took the ticket because my friend, who was driving was on a suspended license. can i get out of this? if i do can they give him a ticket, or arrest him after the fact?

This could be more serious than just a charge of driving without a license. Both you and the other person could be charged with interfering with an investigation and/or providing false information to a police officer. If you do not want to retain an attorney, you should refer to the Nolo Press book "How to Fight Your Traffic Ticket".
