Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
If I was driving with a suspended license and and my passenger has a valid one, is it mandatory to tow the vehicle and put a thirty day hold on it? Is there anything that I can do to get her vehicle back before thirty days? It's my wife's only means of transportation.

You did not state which law enforcement agency impounded your. car. The CHP always impounds vehicles driven by unlicensed drivers. They do not allow a licensed driver in the vehicle to drive the vehicle away. The fact that it is your wife's only transportation will not help pry it loose from the CHP. Some local police agencies has a more relaxed attitude and would release the car to a licensed driver. Contact the law enforcement agency and ask what you can do to get the car back. If possible you should get your driver's license.
