Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road
My wife recently had an accident in which she ran off the side of the road. The attending officer wrote her a citation for violating CVC 21650, driving on the wrong side of the road.
I believe the law was designed for driving in the opposing lane(s) of traffic (driving on the wrong half of the road),not running off the side of the road. The officer astonishingly agreed with my interpretation, when he wrote his accident report. Who is correct here? How can we present our argument to the Court?
