Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Failure of the other party to accept or obtain personal information at
After being involved in a minor traffic accident with no injuries involved and less than $500 in property damage, my personal information was offered to the other driver but was not accepted nor was it requested. I then left the scene of the accident and filed a SR-1 report with the DMV. 9 days later I'm contacted by a Detective to give my side of the story. The detective says the other driver is accusing me of assult with a deadly weapon. This accusation is proven to the detective to be untrue. Now that all is said and done do I have to give the other driver another opportunity to receive my insurance information in order to repair their car?

the SR1, which you were not required to file, has already done that.
