Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

False Information To A Peace Officer, False Impersonation.

I've been charged with letting someone use my driver's license, false information to a peace officer, and false impersonation. What are the penalties for these charges and are they more than likely going to stick? This occured in Los Angeles county. Should I get a lawyer?

Whether the charges are going to stick depends on facts you haven't stated such as, did you do it? Also: Have you been to court? Which of the 100 courthouses in LA County is your case at? Did you enter a plea yet? Did you get a copy of the charges? Are these charges misdemeanors or felonies? Probably they are misdemeanors punishable by possible $10,000 fines, a year in jail, and having a criminal record which could impair your future employment possibilities.
