Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

So last friday i got a ticket for driving without a licence or a permit. No one in the car had a licence, and it was my friends car. So anyways, we got rolled up, and i was the only one who got a ticket and my violation was a VC 1250(a) Unlicensed driver, a misdemeanor.

My question is, is my permit suspended? Because what i would like to do is try to get my licence before my court date (I dont know when my court date is), and tell them i have a licence. Would that be fine? What do you think the charges/fines will be? They said something about me having my licence suspended for a year, is that true? Would most of the charges be dismissed if i go to court with a licence?

You were the only person in the car who was cited for driving without a license? The unfairness of it all. Maybe the DMV will give you a license, and maybe this will help your case. Or maybe not. VC 12500 is a misdemeanor, and in any misdemeanor case there is the possibility of fines, a criminal record, or jail time. Lawyer would help.
