Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Hit and run

when i was turning out of a curb from a small street i clipped the back side of a car with my front left bumper and fled. I just talked to the investigator and told him what happend over the phone. I wasnt drinking nor consumed drugs but Im worried. What kind of charges will I get? and do I need a lawyer?. Please help me.

You could be facing hit and run charges. Based on the facts that you describe it would probably be charged as a misdemeanor. Being represented by an attorney is always good advice for anyone who is a suspect or has been charged with criminal conduct.
