Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
insurance
I had a accident recently. I was driving a rental car without insurance. I fixed the rental car and I lost a lot of money as the car was a luxurious. The other party's insurance sends me a huge bill as the rental was not covered and since the other car was totalled they sent me a huge bill. I really dont know what to do. I already spent a lot on fixing the rental. I am really scared. I dont want to face any legal issues as I go to school and I already have a lot to take care of. Please advise.
Thank you.

Re: insurance
If you were at fault for the accident, the other insurance company is probably entitled to be reimbursed by you for the damages paid. If you were not at fault, they may be trying to "bully" you. You may want to read my blog at http://www.calpiblog.com, which has more information about the tactics of the insurance companies with people who are uninsured.
You may want to consult with an attorney or a bankruptcy attorney to see if that is an option for you.
