Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Possible Jail Time for FTAs
I am wondering what would be the possible jail time for a person who is opting for this as opposed to paying fines. This would be for 5 tickets that have become FTAs (40508AVC)for an unregistered vehicle (the original ticket issued). What is the best course of action to be taken? What steps should one take in turning oneself in before being arrested by a police officer?

Go to the station for the police department that issued the citation and tell the desk sargeant that you want to surrender on the warrant. The Nolo Press book "How to Fight Your Traffic Ticket" should answer your questions about traffic tickets.
