Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
What laws,on and off the road, apply to owners of recreational vehicles?
I am trying to identify all the laws, or areas of the law, that may specifically apply to owners of recreational vehicles. My interests are broad: I want to know everything I can find out about regulations concerning construction and alteration of RVs; parking restrictions; length, width and weight restrictions; and especially any coercive laws that prevent boondocking or free camping; and any restrictions that are selectively applied to older RVs, irregardless of condition. I and some other owners of older RVs that are in good condition feel that our reputations are sometimes demeaned and that the regulations that exist are sometimes applied selectively to us, and not to owners of more expensive or newer rigs. We want to familiarize ourselves with all aspects of law as they apply to RVs,but are having trouble locating the information we need. References and search tips gratefully received. Thank you. P.S. www.RVDefense.com is only for professionals not us ordinary folk.
