Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Leaving scene of accident
I have a car under my name which sits in front of my dad's house. No one drives it, therefore it is not insured. About two weeks ago my brother noticed one of the license plates was missing, I called the DMV and they issued me new license plates. My problem now is that I received a letter from the LAPD asking me to come to the station to discuss an accident involving me or my vehicle. What can I do? Can I be accused of hit and run? and whats the worst it could happen?

Don't go to the police station unless they arrest you. If they do arrest you, say nothing except you want a lawyer. Keep the paperwork you received from the DMV.
