Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
My license was suspended 5 days prior to a car accident involving my car & another in which my car has been deemed totaled. I had no insurance. It has been (12) days since the accident. The CHP took my license but did not issue a ticket or arrest me. I owe approx $930.00 on an outstanding ticket(cause for the suspended license), which I intend to pay in full within 30 days. Will my license be suspended even longer?? Or can I still get my license back once I have paid the necessary fines for my prior ticket & suspension?? PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

Your license will be suspended for 6 months -- you are still required to file an SR-1 with DMV -- and if the other driver sues you and gets a judgment, your license will be suspended until you either pay or declare bankruptcy.
