Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Open container violation
I need advice as to how to handle this situation. I got a ticket for an open container while walking. The fine is $676.00 which is more than I can afford. What is my best option to get the fine reduced and are there any loop holes I should be looking for to help me get out of this ticket?

Re: Open container violation
Most courts will allow you to do some form of community service to reduce the fine. They will also in many cases have various payment plan options. You should speak to the clerk of the court to find out what your options are.

Most courts will allow you to do community service instead of paying a fine. Just ask the judge for that option.
