Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
The opposing traffic light is left arrow so I made a slow right turn on red. Is this illegal? Many places have right turn arrow signal when opposing signal is left arrow. Therefore, I made a right turn on red without stopping. Please advise if this is illegal to get citation.

You must come to a full stop if a red light contols your direction of travel, no matter what. You can not make a turn until it is safe to do so [no car has to slow down because of your turn]. If you have a green arrow for your turn then you do not haveve to slow down unless merging is unsafe.
