Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

parking violation

I received a parking violation at an apartment complex I was visting 2 nights ago, for which I am at fault because I didn't call my car in within the allotted time. When I reviewed the ticket the next day, I noticed that the officer wrote down the wrong color of my car. To me that's false documentation on a legal document and that completely nullifies the ticket. The person I spoke to says that as long as the Lic. # is correct nothing else matters. I find that asinine because what purpose does that other info serve then and why is it listed? The violation is $135. Is it worth it to fight this?

Re: parking violation

This is an urban legend along the lines of "You don't have to pay taxes." The wrong color does not make it false documentation. However, if you would like to fight it, you can. I would tell you that you are going to lose.
