Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I got a parking violation ticket: misuse of disable placard. When I was stopped by the police officer I was driving away not on the disable spot, and I did not have the placard hanged on my windshield. But when the officer asked for it, I gave it to him and admitted I was parking on the disable spot. But my mother in law owner of the placard was with me when I parked my car (someone else picked her up later). So she wasnt with me when the officer stopped me.
The officer asked me to plead guilty at the court, and he made a personal comment to me about my health he told me: Im healthy and I can do some community service.
My question:
can I contest this ticket?(he gave me two tickets one for $396 and the other one has a court appearance $3,500).
Does the officer has the right to make a personal comment about my plead and my health. I took it very personal since I was just diagnosed with brain aneurysm that threaten my life any second can burst .
Thanks for your Help

You used poor judgment in volunteering to give the officer the placard -- and in speaking to him at all. Do not plead guilty. Demand a trial. You committed no crime. Get your own placard if you can.
