Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
My passenger in the back seat had a bottle of beer that I was not aware of we got pulled over for doing 35 in a 25 zone I was sober but I got a ticket for the open container because it's my car my responsibilty. What are the fines and consequences of this ticket? Can I fight it or is it pointless?

It depends. I would have to discuss the case with you further, but generally you might benefit from having an attorney negotiate the case for you. An experienced attorney will be able to respond to the district attorney's offer appropriately and sometimes that will save you money, probation time, etc.
