Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
I was placed on a payment plan for a traffic citation. I missed the payments 2 to be exact. I honestly forgot. I received the 10 day civil assessment letter. Do I have time to correct this before I either have to pay all up front or lose my license.

Unfortunately, most judges will not remove or lower the civil assessment and because it's now a failure to pay (FTP), you'll have to pay the entire balance before they clear the FTP and release the hold on your license.
